When Was the Last Time you Tried Something New?

I’ve noticed that my life had felt the same year on year when I am doing the same thing, day in and day out.


Different year, same routines.


That was until I made the conscious choice to take on new experiences, upgrade my skills and be a little more adventurous.




Here are my 7 reasons for trying something new in your life:


  1. Personal growth - Stepping out of your comfort zone allows you to grow personally and learn more about your capabilities.

  2. Expand your skillset - Learn new skills which can be transferable to other areas of your life, such as your career and hobbies.

  3. Build self-confidence - Overcoming the uncertainties that come along with a new challenge helps to build resilience and self-trust.

  4. Teach others - Pass on your knowledge to those who could also benefit from your learning experience – you will feel good about it.

  5. Boost your creativity - Exposing yourself to new experiences can stimulate your mind, encouraging creativity and innovative thinking.

  6. Feeling of accomplishment - You will feel a great deal of satisfaction and self-worth from overcoming something challenging and unfamiliar.

  7. Expand your network - Engaging in new activities can introduce you to like-minded people, helping you to expand your social circle.
