How the Simple Act of Taking a Walk Could Benefit You

kapilpankhania5

I wasn’t always a morning person.

I used to think it was "normal" to stay up late every night, only bag a few hours of sleep, and wake up the next day at the very last minute.

I thought it was "cool" to stay up late.

Little did I know just how much this routine negatively affected my productivity, mood, and thinking.

It was only until I read ‘The Miracle Morning’ by Hal Elrod, I realised that all the golden nuggets of high energy, motivation, and creativity are embedded in how I spend the first hour of each morning.

Having read this book from cover to cover, I turned advice into action.

My morning routines have altered over the years, but ONE SPECIFIC HABIT on which I have always placed my bets to have the best day possible, is simply going for a walk.

Being outdoors and getting my body moving has helped me to:

  • Think of potential solutions to my day-to-day challenges.

  • Become vastly more creative by simply letting my mind wonder.

  • Reflect on the day, week, and month—what’s gone well and what could be improved.

...and this all takes place before the demands and chaos of today’s world slowly kick in.

What routines or habits do you follow to have the best day you can?
