Having low confidence stopped me from being me.
I was always trying to fit into the crowd, doing what others do, saying what others say, and doing whatever it takes to stay in their lane.
I was slowly giving away every ounce of myself to others, only to end up losing who I was along the way.
That was an utterly exhausting 20+ year journey.
Then, I realised that I needed just the smallest scrap of confidence to get myself back on the road.
A new lane, a new direction, a new journey.
The obvious question at this point was: How do I find this confidence?
Well, I used to think that confidence could only come from people who gave me their approval, validation, or simply a thumbs-up for every single action or decision I made.
However, through my self-discovery, this is what I had come to learn:
Confidence is not something you find around you; it’s something you find WITHIN you.
👉 It is an internal game.
👉 It is about following through on the things YOU said YOU were going to do, and you DO IT. Both big and small things.
👉 It is about stacking up those wins, one after the other, day by day, month by month, year by year.
And the result?
😎 You begin the journey of trusting YOU.
😎 You start to build a reputation with YOU.
😎 Your potential to become whoever you want starts with YOU.
I went from losing who I was to knowing myself more than I ever had before.
What experiences have helped you to gain self-confidence?
